Loren Chewning began inspecting homes in 1996 as an apprentice in his father’s home inspection and civil engineering firm. For the next few years, he learned how to perform, write, and facilitate inspection reports for their growing clientele. In 1999, Loren became a certified home inspector in the state of Florida and began studying building construction and engineering in college.
In 2002, Loren took another Home Inspection training course at IFREC Real Estate school to prepare for the upcoming Florida state licensing law. At the same time, he began instructing home inspection, new construction, and field inspection courses at the Tampa and Orlando IFREC offices. In addition to his years of experience and instructing background, Loren has studied engineering and holds certifications in building construction. Today, Loren is a licensed Home Inspector in the state of Washington, an FHA compliance inspector and a HUD 203(k) consultant/inspector, and a HUD 203(k) consultant/inspector and has over 15 years of HUD and FHA experience.

He has performed over 3,000 home inspections and thousands of manufactured home inspections, FHA/VA foundation inspections, final compliance inspections, home estimates, mold inspections, and roof and structural inspections. His experience also includes designing and drafting manufactured home foundation drawings and other special projects, including redesigning the New York Yankees spring training batting cages in Tampa, Florida.
